FAQs

Questions we hear every week

Straight answers about visits, insurance, kids, emergencies, and treatments. If your question is not here, call (209) 667-0115 and a real person will answer it.

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, and we would be glad to meet you. New patients of every age are welcome, from children around twelve months old to adults and seniors. Call (209) 667-0115 or use our appointment request page, and our scheduling coordinator will find a time that fits your life.
What insurance do you accept?
We are a fee-for-service practice and accept most dental insurance programs, including non-managed-care, indemnity (traditional), and PPO plans on an out-of-network basis. We are not part of any managed care network. Our team prepares and files your claim paperwork, and we will gladly submit a pre-treatment estimate so you know your expected benefits before treatment begins.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and major credit cards, with payment expected at the time of service. Outside financing is available through CareCredit upon credit approval, and for more extensive care our office can discuss financial arrangements with you before treatment starts.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, a list of current medications, and any dental records or x-rays from a previous office if available. Arriving a few minutes early for paperwork helps your visit start on time. Most of all, bring your questions; we like answering them.
At what age should my child first see the dentist?
We care for children beginning around twelve months of age, in line with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommendation of a first visit by the first birthday. Early visits are short, positive, and focused on building comfort, checking development, and coaching parents on home care.
I have dental anxiety. How do you handle nervous patients?
Gently and without judgment. Fear of the dentist usually comes from real past experiences, so we work to replace those memories: unhurried appointments, clear explanations before anything happens, a hand signal that pauses treatment instantly, and a team that treats you like family. Patients regularly tell us their fear faded after a few visits here.
Do you see dental emergencies?
Yes. Call (209) 667-0115 as early as you can and we make every effort to see and care for you as soon as possible during office hours, Monday through Friday. Our team will triage your situation by phone and tell you exactly how to manage until your visit.
How often should I really come in for a cleaning?
Every six months works well for most healthy mouths. If you have gum disease, rapid tartar buildup, or certain health conditions, a three or four month interval protects you better. We base the recommendation on your measurements and history, not a one-size-fits-all rule, and we will explain our reasoning.
Do you offer teeth straightening?
Yes, we provide Invisalign clear aligner treatment for adults and teens with mild to moderate crowding, spacing, or orthodontic relapse. Invisalign here is provided by our general dentists, who are not orthodontic specialists, and we refer complex cases to a trusted orthodontist when that will serve you better.
Do you place dental implants?
We plan implant cases and craft the crowns, bridges, and implant-supported dentures that complete them. The surgical placement of the implant itself is performed by a local oral surgery or periodontal specialist we work with closely. You get a surgical specialist for the surgery and dedicated restorative care here at home.
What are your office hours?
Monday through Wednesday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Thursday and Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The early Thursday and Friday start lets many patients come in before work or school.
Where are you located?
At 1600 Colorado Ave, Building 3, in Turlock, near Emanuel Medical Center on the north side of town. There is easy parking right outside the door, and we are a short drive from Denair, Keyes, Hilmar, Ceres, and the surrounding communities.
