New patients

Welcome. We saved you a seat.

New patients are the lifeblood of this practice, and we work hard to make your first visit feel like your fiftieth: relaxed, unhurried, and genuinely welcoming. Here is everything you need to know before you arrive.

Your first visit, step by step

  1. 1

    Request your visit

Call (209) 667-0115 or send an online request. Our scheduling coordinator will confirm a time and answer anything you want to know beforehand.

  2. 2

    Bring the basics

A photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, a list of current medications, and any prior dental records or x-rays you can gather. Arriving a few minutes early helps paperwork go smoothly.

  3. 3

    A conversation first

Your first appointment starts with listening: your health history, your past dental experiences, and what you want from us. Care plans built on listening simply fit better.

  4. 4

    A thorough, gentle exam

A complete exam of your teeth, gums, and bite, an oral cancer screening, digital x-rays when needed, and usually a professional cleaning, all explained as we go.

  5. 5

    A plan in plain language

You leave knowing what looks great, what we are watching, and what, if anything, needs care, with honest priorities and costs before anything is scheduled.

Payments and insurance at a glance

We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and major credit cards, with CareCredit financing available upon credit approval. We accept most dental insurance on a fee-for-service basis, including traditional indemnity and PPO out-of-network benefits, and our team files claims for you.

New patient questions

What insurance do you accept?
We are a fee-for-service practice and accept most dental insurance programs, including non-managed-care, indemnity (traditional), and PPO plans on an out-of-network basis. We are not part of any managed care network. Our team prepares and files your claim paperwork, and we will gladly submit a pre-treatment estimate so you know your expected benefits before treatment begins.
What payment options do you offer?
We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, and major credit cards, with payment expected at the time of service. Outside financing is available through CareCredit upon credit approval, and for more extensive care our office can discuss financial arrangements with you before treatment starts.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, a list of current medications, and any dental records or x-rays from a previous office if available. Arriving a few minutes early for paperwork helps your visit start on time. Most of all, bring your questions; we like answering them.
At what age should my child first see the dentist?
We care for children beginning around twelve months of age, in line with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommendation of a first visit by the first birthday. Early visits are short, positive, and focused on building comfort, checking development, and coaching parents on home care.
I have dental anxiety. How do you handle nervous patients?
Gently and without judgment. Fear of the dentist usually comes from real past experiences, so we work to replace those memories: unhurried appointments, clear explanations before anything happens, a hand signal that pauses treatment instantly, and a team that treats you like family. Patients regularly tell us their fear faded after a few visits here.
