Dentures & Partial Dentures

Comfortable, natural-looking full and partial dentures, including implant-supported options that restore confident chewing.

Losing many teeth changes how you eat, how you speak, and how you feel about smiling in photographs. Modern dentures give that back. They are lighter, better fitting, and far more lifelike than the dentures many people remember on a parent's nightstand, and designing them well is craftsmanship we take seriously.

A full denture replaces all the teeth in an arch, resting on the gums and, for the upper, the palate. A partial denture replaces several missing teeth while clasping discreetly to the natural teeth you still have, filling the gaps and stopping remaining teeth from drifting. Both are built from precise impressions and careful measurements of your bite, then refined over fittings until the fit, the look, and the feel are right.

For patients who want more stability than a conventional denture can offer, implant-supported dentures anchor the prosthetic to dental implants placed in the jaw. The difference is dramatic: chewing power closer to natural teeth, no slipping mid-sentence, and preserved jawbone under the denture. One of the full-mouth transformations in our smile gallery pairs an implant-supported upper denture with lower implant crowns, restoring what the patient's records describe as great smile, chewing function, and facial tissue support. That is what a well-executed denture plan can do.

We fabricate and fit dentures and partials here in our Turlock office, coordinating with a trusted oral surgery specialist for any extractions or implant placement your plan requires. Existing denture wearers are welcome too. Relines, repairs, and honest second opinions on an ill-fitting denture are everyday work for us.

Expect an adjustment period with any new denture. Speaking and chewing take practice for a few weeks, and we schedule follow-ups to smooth sore spots and fine-tune the fit while you adapt.

Is it right for you?

Dentures suit patients missing most or all teeth in an arch, and partials suit those missing several teeth who want a nonsurgical, budget-friendly solution. If you already wear a denture that rocks, rubs, or requires adhesive to survive dinner, you are exactly who relines and modern refits were designed for.

Why choose our office

Removable prosthetics are unforgiving of shortcuts. A denture that looks fine on the bench but rocks on the ridge is a failure, and we do not deliver failures. Dr. Kaci's prosthodontics training, recognized with the Hanau Best of the Best Award at the University of the Pacific, anchors a denture process built on unhurried impressions, honest try-ins where you approve the look before final processing, and as many post-delivery adjustments as your comfort requires.

We will also tell you plainly when an implant-supported approach is worth the added investment and when a conventional denture will serve you beautifully. The plan is built around your mouth, your priorities, and your budget.

What to expect at your visit

Denture treatment unfolds over several visits: impressions, bite records, a try-in where you preview the teeth in wax and we adjust shape and shade to your approval, then delivery of the finished denture. If extractions or implants are part of the plan, we coordinate that timeline with the specialist and provide temporary teeth so you are never without a smile.

After delivery, expect a break-in period and a few adjustment visits. Sore spots are normal early and quick to fix. Within a month, eating and speaking feel routine again, and most patients wish they had done it sooner.

Aftercare

Remove and rinse dentures after eating, brush them daily with a soft brush and denture cleanser, and let your gums rest overnight while the denture soaks. Keep annual exams so we can check fit, screen the tissues, and catch wear early.

Costs, insurance, and timing

Costs vary widely with the design, from economical partials to implant-supported full arches. Most insurance plans contribute toward dentures on a multi-year replacement cycle, and CareCredit financing can spread larger treatment plans into manageable payments. You will have a written estimate before we begin.

Frequently asked questions

How long until my new dentures feel normal?
Most people adapt over two to four weeks. Speaking smooths out with a little reading aloud at home, and chewing improves as you start with softer foods cut small. We see you for adjustments during this window, because a well-fitted denture should not leave persistent sore spots.
What are implant-supported dentures like?
They snap or fix onto implants rather than resting on the gums alone, so they hold firmly while you eat and speak. They also preserve jawbone. Implant placement is performed by a specialist we refer you to and trust; we plan the case and craft and fit the final denture here.
How long do dentures last?
A well-made denture typically serves five to ten years before the fit changes enough to need a reline or remake, because gums and bone keep changing shape slowly under any denture. Annual checkups let us keep the fit tuned and check the health of the tissues underneath.
